Apex Systems is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join our payments technology team in Addison, Texas onsite. The role focuses on developing, testing, and maintaining software applications that support complex payment functions, working with QA and support teams to deploy solutions and resolve defects.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience with Java, Spring, and Oracle, with strong REST/SOA, and Agile/Scrum experience, plus hands-on exposure to Maven, Jenkins, and Hibernate.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with Java, Spring, and Oracle.
• Experience with SOA concepts, web services, and REST APIs.
• Solid understanding of OOP concepts with Core Java/J2EE.
• Experience with Spring and Hibernate.
• Experience with build tools such as Maven and Jenkins.

Role Overview

This is an opportunity to join a global payments technology team. The role involves developing, enhancing, debugging, and testing software applications that support various business functions within payments technology. The successful candidate will actively support application development and maintenance, participate in system requirements discussions, drive application design, and work with QA and support teams to deploy software and resolve defects.

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

10+ years of experience with Java, Spring, and Oracle.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of SOA concepts, Web services, and REST API.
• Solid understanding of OOP concepts with working experience in Core Java/J2EE.
• Working experience in Spring and Hibernate.
• Experience with build tools such as Maven and Jenkins.
• Knowledge of Agile Methodology and the Scrum process.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with MQ, Microservices, and KAFKA.
