The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) is seeking a skilled software engineer to contribute to the design and delivery of high-speed, data-centric solutions in a hybrid Chicago-area environment. You will work within an Agile framework, analyze requirements, develop and test software, and ensure architecture and security standards are met.

Ideal candidates bring strong Java and big data skills, experience with distributed frameworks like Flink and Spark, and hands-on practice with cloud services

Competenze

• BS degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with Java and data-centric systems.
• Experience with distributed frameworks (Flink, Spark, Kafka).
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP).
• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of various databases (Relational, NoSQL, Graph).
• Familiarity with Git workflows and DevOps tooling.

• Support the development of big data applications in an Agile framework.
• Analyze requirements, develop, test, and document software quality.
• Follow SDLC procedures ensuring quality, security, and performance.
• Perform risk analysis and suggest quality improvements.
