Job summary
The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) is seeking a software developer to help build scalable data solutions and high-throughput systems. You will design low-latency distributed architectures, develop microservices and RESTful APIs with Java/Spring Boot, and deploy on AWS with scalable infrastructure.
Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in CS and 3+ years of software development, with strong SQL optimization and cloud know-how.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and three years of software development experience.
- Experience designing low-latency, event-driven distributed systems with Spring Batch and Kafka.
- Experience developing scalable microservices and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot with MongoDB or Postgres.
- Ability to design efficient database access strategies by bypassing ORM and writing optimized SQL.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with analysts, team leads, and developers to create scalable data solutions.
- Design and deploy cloud-based data solutions on AWS with EC2 and Auto Scaling.
- Develop microservices and RESTful APIs for data-intensive applications.
- Ensure SDLC compliance and communicate delays or defects clearly.
