Job summary

The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) is seeking a senior software engineer in Dallas, TX to design scalable data solutions and a Java/Cucumber BDD framework. You will work with Kafka and JMS to enable high-throughput data pipelines and collaborate with architects, product owners, and developers.

Responsibilities include building end-to-end CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes, and optimizing data access with Hibernate and SQL across Oracle, MySQL, and DB2.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience architecting Java/Cucumber-based automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business analysts, team leads, and developers to build scalable data solutions.
• Develop and test software ensuring quality and proper implementation per SDLC.
• Architect and maintain a Java/Cucumber automation framework with a Jenkins wrapper.
• Design distributed Java apps using Apache Kafka and JMS for high throughput pipelines.
• Build end-to-end CI/CD pipelines with Docker and Kubernetes for automated release.
• Implement Hibernate L1/L2 caching and optimize SQL across Oracle, MySQL, and DB2.
