Job summary

The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) is seeking a software engineering professional to help build OCC's next‑generation clearing and settlement system. You will design microservices with Java, Spring and React, and contribute to DevOps automation across CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms.

You will collaborate with subject matter experts, write automated tests with JUnit and Claude, optimize performance through refactoring, and participate in architecture reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field required.
• Five years of experience as a software developer/engineer/systems engineer or related.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on building OCC's next-gen clearing and settlement system.
• Develop solutions using DevOps tools and cloud providers (AWS, Google).
• Design microservice architectures and web interfaces with Java, Spring and React.
• Automate build, containerization, and deployment via CI/CD with Jenkins, Docker and SonarQube.
• Write unit/integration tests with JUnit; use Claude for test generation and coverage.
• Improve performance via refactoring and system tuning.
• Contribute to architecture/design discussions and story creation.
