Job summary

The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) is seeking a senior software engineer to lead Java-based backend and web application development, integrating with multiple data sources while ensuring rock-solid reliability for peak trading days. You will work in an agile environment, collaborating with business, technical, and non-technical teams to drive decisions and deliver robust software.

You will contribute to DevOps practices, guide technical direction, mentor teams, and ensure production

Qualifications

• 15+ years of software development experience.
• 10+ years of Java-based applications experience.
• 4+ years with cloud and DevOps (AWS, EKS, Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher, Harness).
• 4+ years with CICD (Jenkins, JIRA, GIT).
• 2+ years of experience with distributed applications.
• 2+ years in application security tools.
• Experience leading teams.
• Experience with relational and non-relational DBs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver business features, integrating data sources and presenting data through the UI.
• Collaborate with leads to solve complex cross-system solutions.
• Help lead DevOps, backend, and UI development activities.
• Maintain project health and plan for future hurdles while meeting delivery timelines.
• Code, test, troubleshoot, debug, and document systems.
• Ensure production readiness and plan nonfunctional aspects.
• Recommend technologies to improve OCC’s systems and processes.
