Job summary

Hidden Jobs is seeking a senior Java developer to build and maintain backend integration services within an event-driven, microservices-based landscape. You will work hands-on with Java 11+, Spring Boot, and XML processing, and collaborate across Azure-based platforms.

The role focuses on processing asynchronous messages, implementing robust integration patterns, and contributing to CI/CD pipelines with Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), and MuleSoft integrations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional Java backend experience.
• Strong Java 11+ and Spring Boot expertise.
• XML processing and file-based integration experience.
• Hands-on with Azure services (Blob Storage, Service Bus, Event Hub, Azure SQL).
• Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of resilient integration patterns (retry, DLQ, idempotency).
• Experience with MuleSoft integrations.
• Docker and Kubernetes experience (AKS preferred).
• Azure DevOps and CI/CD experience.
• English (B2) and Italian (B2); willingness to travel to Italy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend integration services with Java and Spring Boot.
• Implement XML processing and file-based integrations, including generating and handling XML payloads.
• Process asynchronous messages and manage data flows across Azure services.
• Work with Azure Blob Storage, Service Bus, Event Hub, and Azure SQL.
• Design and implement microservices and event-driven solutions.
• Apply resilient integration patterns such as retry, dead‑letter queues, idempotency, reconciliation, and error handling.
• Integrate services using MuleSoft.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Work with Docker and Kubernetes, including AKS.
• Troubleshoot production issues and support reliable operation of integration services.
