pureIntegration is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer with strong Java/Spring and Node.js experience. You will design and maintain REST APIs, build containerized microservices on AWS, and collaborate across teams in a cloud-native environment.

The role is full-time and remote with a base salary range of $120,000 - $140,000 annually. Benefits are included per the company’s full benefits package.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Java experience with Spring Framework/Spring Boot and REST APIs.
• Hands-on Node.js backend experience, including async patterns and frameworks like Express.js.
• Solid grounding in CS fundamentals, distributed systems, and system design.
• Experience designing backend microservices and troubleshooting complex backend issues.
• Comfortable in Linux environments and working with cloud-native deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and Node.js.
• Build and support containerized microservices on AWS, including Kubernetes/EKS environments.
• Apply asynchronous, reactive, or functional programming patterns across Java and JavaScript codebases.
• Troubleshoot complex backend and distributed-system issues and drive fixes to resolution.
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and code reviews to improve deployment and reliability.
