Priceline is seeking a Java Engineer to join our Technology team in a hybrid role with two days in-office.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define roadmaps, build scalable back-end systems, REST APIs and data services using Core Java, Spring, SQL and cloud platforms.

The role emphasizes performance, reliability and continuous integration, with opportunities to influence product direction in a fast-paced travel tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Core Java and SQL.
• Experience with Spring Frameworks, Web Services and APIs.
• Server-side JavaScript with Node.js, Git/Gitflow.
• Experience with Microservices, Kubernetes and Docker.
• Cloud experience (GCP/AWS).

Responsibilities

• Participate in critical projects with direct impact on Priceline's business.
• Be part of a cross-functional agile team delivering new product objectives.
• Showcase development skills in Core Java or similar languages.
• Build low latency, high throughput transactional services with CI and automation testing.
• Implement SQL queries for real-time data investigation and analysis.
• Understand codebase and business requirements to drive changes.
• Collaborate effectively within teams and communicate solutions.
