Job summary

Enlighten seeks a seasoned Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement complex software capabilities for computer-based systems. You will collaborate with engineers to build Java-based solutions, RESTful services, and microservices, while mentoring teammates in a dynamic, hybrid work setting.

You will work on modern tools and technologies, stay current with industry trends, and contribute to high-quality software delivery. This role emphasizes leadership and hands-on execution.

Qualifications

• 9 years experience in Software Engineering with modern Java frameworks (e.g. Spring) or 7 years with Masters; or 13 years with HS diploma.
• Experience building and maintaining Kubernetes deployments using helm and flux.
• Strong Java software development experience and RESTful service design.
• Experience designing enterprise APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience with the agile software lifecycle and leading engineering teams.
• Experience with Linux operating system and standard tool suites (Git, Maven, Nexus).
• Previous tech leadership, mentorship or management responsibilities.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with 2 days per week in the San Antonio office.
