Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Java AWS Developer to design, develop, and deploy scalable cloud-native applications using Java and AWS. You will collaborate with architects, DevOps, product owners, and teams to deliver enterprise solutions.

Requirements include 10+ years of experience, strong Java/AWS, Spring stack, RESTful APIs, relational databases, Angular/TypeScript, and Agile/Scrum. Hybrid work arrangement with in-office days in Atlanta, GA or Minneapolis, MN.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java development and AWS.
• Extensive experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data, and Microservices.
• Proven experience designing, developing, deploying, and supporting applications on AWS.
• Experience with AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, IAM, and VPC.
• Strong experience building RESTful APIs and distributed systems.
• Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Experience with Angular and TypeScript development.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
