Job summary

Texas Oncology is seeking a Certified IV Admixture Technician to join our Kingwood location. This full-time role operates Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5pm, with no weekends or major holidays. Levels I, II, or Senior depend on experience, and travel is not required.

The selected candidate will prepare, verify and dispense admixtures under supervision, maintain meticulous records, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in a clinic/pharmacy setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• IV Certification strongly preferred.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate or State Pharmacy Board requirement recommended.
• Oncology background preferred or extensive IV preparation experience.
• ASCP accredited program or community college-based program recommended.

Responsibilities

• Prepare medication orders by compounding or admixing medications under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Check all orders for completeness of information.
• Verify patient information and proper physician authorization.
• Check orders for insurance approval before admixing.
• Admix drugs as ordered by physician in an accurate and timely manner per guidelines.
• Maintain drug inventory and documentation; ensure OSHA compliance.
