AECOM is seeking a Senior Traffic / ITS Engineer to join our Transportation team in Grand Rapids, MI. You will lead traffic engineering, ITS design, and client-facing activities with MDOT and local agencies across Michigan, mentoring staff and pursuing new opportunities.

The role emphasizes technical depth in ITS and signal systems, with collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical transportation solutions and modernize infrastructure.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and 8+ years of relevant traffic/ITS engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of traffic engineering design software and CAD platforms used for transportation projects.

Responsabilidades

• Lead traffic engineering, operations, and ITS assignments for MDOT, counties, and municipalities.
• Coordinate scope, staffing, budgeting, and client communication on projects.
• Develop ITS planning/design efforts including architecture, communications, and system integration.
• Provide construction-phase support including field coordination and reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to proposals and pursuits.
