Horace Mann is seeking a Senior leader to drive modernization across multiple insurance lines, overseeing Guidewire and legacy P&C systems. You will manage through managers and a large team of 30+ developers, aligning architecture strategy with business goals.

You will champion AI-powered development, cloud adoption, and modern tooling while building strong relationships with senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership role overseeing a large development organization in a multi-line insurance company.
• Experience with Guidewire or comparable P&C platforms preferred.
• Experience delivering AI-powered applications and modern tooling.

Responsibilities

• Directly manages the Guidewire and P&C legacy application development team.
• Lead through managers across Life and Retirement, BCG, Supplemental and Group, Distribution and Corporate Back Office.
• Develop and execute a multi-year modernization roadmap with measurable outcomes.
• Attract, retain, and grow top technical talent; coach and elevate leadership across the team.
• Communicate value and progress to senior business and technology stakeholders.
