Rhode Island Office of the Postsecondary Commissioner is seeking a Senior Information Technologist to support minicomputers, networks, and virtual desktops across its Westerly Education Center locations. The role includes desktop support, project work, and vendor coordination.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree and at least four years in information technology, with strong Windows/macOS, AD, and server experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least four years of IT experience.
• Experience with PC hardware, printers, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong end-user support skills for Windows and macOS.
• Experience with Microsoft Server OS and Active Directory.
• Ability to document procedures and manage projects.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain operating system software and applications.
• Assist with network and domain maintenance and security.
• Provide desktop and printer support for faculty and staff.
• Install, configure, test new hardware and software projects.
• Travel among three Westerly Education Center locations.
• Document procedures and manage vendor relationships.
