Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking an IT System Engineer 3 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit in Tysons, VA.

You will design, implement, operate, and maintain secure, large-scale hardware and virtualized infrastructure to meet stakeholder needs and performance requirements. Responsibilities span architecture design, system integration, documentation, and collaboration with industry partners, while aligning with DoD security standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of progressive experience delivering system solutions for physical security and IT infrastructure.
• Master’s degree is a plus.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level-II requirements.
• Experience eliciting requirements, designing, testing, and implementing hardware/software for data center and virtual infrastructure.
• Strong written and oral communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Drive architecture design for large, complex resilient systems to meet standards and performance requirements.
• Provide technical direction across requirements, design, engineering, configuration, integration, and testing.
• Assist with automation and optimization of engineering processes.
• Perform systems engineering assessments and develop implementation plans and WBS.
• Collaborate with industry partners and OEMs on new capabilities and integration.
• Develop technical documentation including architecture, design, and verification plans.
• Interface with Government on SE technical considerations during lifecycle.
