Job summary

M.C. Dean seeks an IT System Engineer 3 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit in Tysons, VA. The role focuses on designing, implementing, operating, and securing large resilient hardware and virtualized infrastructure to meet stakeholder needs and performance standards.

The candidate will work with government and industry partners, requiring DoD cyber/IA standards, DoD 8570 IAT Level-II compliance, and strong communication skills across technical and leadership teams.

Qualifications

Education: Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical, Computer Science, or related engineering discipline.
Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years progressive experience; Master’s desirable.
5+ years of experience delivering system solutions for physical security and IT.
Experience eliciting requirements, research, design, testing, and implementation of hardware/software for data center and virtual infra.
Experience with VMware, Windows Server deployment/administration, AD and PKI.

Responsibilities

Design architectural frameworks for large complex resilient systems.
Provide technical direction for requirements, design, engineering, configuration, integration and testing.
Assist with automation and optimization of engineering processes.
Support research, prototyping and development with industry partners and OEMs.
Develop system architecture and design documentation and test plans.
Interact with Government and stakeholders regarding technical considerations.
