Job summary

Lumen Technologies is seeking a Windows and Red Hat System Administrator based in San Antonio. You will support enterprise-level networks, perform advanced troubleshooting, and coordinate with multiple teams to ensure security, performance, and reliability across nationwide fiber networks.

The role requires DoD 8570 IAT Level II or above, TS/SCI clearance, and a Bachelor’s in IT with several years of relevant experience. On-call duties and travel are part of the job.”

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II or above required or highly desired.
• TS/SCI clearance mandatory; Top Secret clearance highly preferred.
• Experience with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, SQL, SolarWinds, SharePoint and Red Hat Linux.
• Certifications such as MSCA and RHCE are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Document and track outages using trouble ticketing systems.
• Escalate and troubleshoot complex issues to Tier II/III.
• Remotely repair transport backbone equipment and user services nationwide.
• Lead network management/defense requirements and designs.
• Coordinate with engineering, security, program managers and vendors to meet performance criteria.
• Manage enterprise-level projects across systems, networks and storage.
• Provide after-hours on-call support as required.
• Travel up to 15% as needed.
