Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. in Maryland seeks a senior Systems Administrator with a Top Secret/SCI w/Poly clearance to support, troubleshoot and maintain IT systems across UNIX, Linux, and Windows environments in a government setting.

The role emphasizes IT service management, patching, system security controls, and ServiceNow integration, with on-site work at Annapolis Junction. A current clearance and US citizenship are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline is required, or four years of additional SA experience.
• Fifteen (15) years experience as a SA in programs/contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.
• Six (6) years of experience with Service Management (ITSM).
• ITIL 4 platform certification is required.
• Four (4) years of experience with ServiceNow platform.
• Two (2) years’ experience integrating ServiceNow with other applications.
• Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI w/Poly.
• Location: On Customer Site.
• US Citizenship Required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
• Provide configuration management, implementation and sustainment of compliance with applicable system security controls.
• Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices.
• Implement IAVA security patches and ensure patch status is recorded in appropriate systems of record.
• Provide escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization; perform capacity analysis and planning.
• Provide in-depth troubleshooting experience for IT systems.
• Communicate status and progress to agency management for escalated tickets.
• Coordinate with ISSO/ISO regarding system changes as part of Change & Configuration Management.
