Job summary

Form Energy seeks a Senior Desktop Support Specialist to join the Information Technology group. You will provide tier 1-3 and some tier 4 support to employees across locations, manage hardware, software, and printers, and mentor junior staff in a distributed workforce that includes onsite, hybrid, and remote roles.

Relocation assistance is available, and the role emphasizes strong customer service, troubleshooting, and cross-location collaboration to keep the lab and office environments running

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent work experience and 4+ years of IT experience.
• Windows and Mac in an AD environment; extensive Mac experience.
• Device management experience, including computer and MDM management.
• Experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Adobe Acrobat, 1Password, Jira, VPN.
• Outstanding customer service, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills, including network connectivity issues.
• Experience supporting onsite and remote users.
• Experience with setup and support of network and stand-alone printers.
• Ability to move up to 50 lbs and work in a lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide tier 1-3 and some tier 4 support to Form Energy employees.
• Configure, maintain, and support IT hardware including user laptops, desktops, and lab computers.
• Install and configure appropriate software according to specifications; set some of these specifications.
• Maintain and troubleshoot local networks.
• Set up new printers, office and lab.
• Plan and work on special projects.
• Assist with the onboarding of employees.
• Manage an inventory of IT assets and supplies.
• Create and document processes.
• Mentor and train less-senior staff.
