Job summary

TEKsystems in Redwood City, CA is seeking a Sr. IS Technician to provide local IT support, maintain LAN and office systems, and assist with AV setups for meetings. The role involves on-site duties in a fast-paced environment with occasional travel to other CA offices.

The candidate should have 2+ years of professional IS experience, strong Windows/Office/Networking skills, and familiarity with Citrix, VPN, and remote computing. Excellent customer service and after-hours support are expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional IS/IT support experience in a fast-paced professional services environment.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Office Suite, document management, Citrix, VPN, smartphones; Apple OS and VMs a plus.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP networks and network security.
• Ability to organize and prioritize many tasks and respond with urgency.
• Excellent customer service and effective communication with diverse clients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st & 2nd level IS support using IMS to record, assign, and resolve issues.
• Record hardware changes in the AMS.
• Configure, test, deploy, and support computers, smartphones, printers, and other hardware.
• Support telecoms, voicemail moves, adds and changes.
• Support remote access solutions including Citrix, Outlook Web Access, secure email, and VMs.
