The candidate will troubleshoot Layer 1 issues, manage installations, coordinate with facilities, and ensure documentation and asset accuracy. Strong on-site presence and travel readiness are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in IT infrastructure, telecommunications consulting, construction project management, or low-voltage cabling installation.
• Deep understanding of infrastructure including network, compute, storage, power, and cooling systems.
• Experience with server hardware troubleshooting and maintenance (e.g., Dell, HPE, Lenovo, SuperMicro).
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Layer 1 network troubleshooting including fiber/copper cabling and related tests.
• Familiarity with monitoring, automation, and inventory tools (MAAS, Nautobot/Netbox) and ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira).
• Willingness to travel and onsite work; 10+ years of related experience; RCDD certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within offices, NERs, and labs to ensure hardware and systems function properly.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware and network issues, including Layer 1 connectivity.
• Manage installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, storage, and network equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and regular inspections to minimize downtime.
• Audit IT environments, tidy rooms and cabling, and verify asset accuracy.
• Support monitoring tools, respond to alerts, escalations, and incidents promptly.
• Coordinate regional Power Shutdown Events with Infra functions and users.
• Lead regional meetings and guide the team to resolve problems and incidents.
• Develop and maintain documentation for hardware configurations and procedures.
• D liaise with vendors and prepare Statements of Work (SOW).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on various business initiatives.
