Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. has an immediate opening for a DC Technician in Abernathy, TX. This is a 12 months contract onsite with long-term potential.

The DC Technician will install, rack, and deploy server and networking hardware in datacenter environments, perform cable management, approve hardware replacements, and support 24/7 operations under aggressive SLA requirements. High school diploma and 3 years of data center experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years data center or IT operations experience.
• Basic hardware and IT infrastructure knowledge.
• Familiarity with copper/fiber cabling standards.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a datacenter.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, rack, and deploy server and networking hardware.
• Perform cable management, reseating, labeling, and replacing cabling.
• Execute server tray swaps and hardware replacements.
• Respond to incidents and support onsite troubleshooting with SLA focus.
• Document maintenance activities, hardware changes, and inventory updates.
• Conduct visual inspections and basic diagnostics.
• Work rotating shifts or on-call to support 24/7 operations.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers and partners.
