Job summary

Tekvana Inc. is seeking an IT Site Ops Senior Technician to join our Santa Clara team. You will build, oversee, and maintain infrastructure across offices and labs, partnering with facilities, network, AV, and End User Support to support construction projects and daily operations.

You will manage servers, storage, network gear, perform preventive maintenance, monitor systems, and coordinate regional power events. Travel as needed and onsite work several days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years IT infrastructure experience in telecom, construction, or low-voltage cabling.
• Deep understanding of network, compute, storage, power, and cooling systems.
• Experience with server hardware troubleshooting and maintenance (Dell, HPE, Lenovo, SuperMicro).
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Layer 1 network troubleshooting including cabling, fibers, and patch panels.
• Familiarity with MAAS, Nautobot/Netbox and ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira).
• Ability to onsite multiple days per week and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations in offices, NERs, and labs; ensure systems function properly.
• Troubleshoot hardware and network issues; manage servers, storage, and network equipment.
• Coordinate with facilities, vendors, and IT stakeholders on construction projects.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and regular inspections to minimize downtime.
• Document network rooms and asset management records; support monitoring tools and alerts.
