Job summary

BDO is seeking an Assurance Senior, Technology Risk Assurance to support IT risk assessments and control testing for financial audits. You will design procedures to test ITGCs, including access, change management, and operations, and evaluate how IT affects audit procedures.

The role includes mentoring associates, managing testing procedures, and communicating results to clients while applying professional standards across engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
• More than two years IT audit and/or risk and controls experience.
• More than one year of supervisory experience.
• Public accounting experience highly desired.
• Proficient with PCAOB and AICPA audit standards.
• Experience with third‑party attestation (SOC) reports.

Responsibilities

• Plan IT audits and assess IT risk and control environments.
• Design and execute tests of controls and key ITGCs.
• Test IT general controls such as access, change management, and operations.
• Test business process controls and important reports (IPE).
• Provide training, mentoring and guidance to associates.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to clients and team.
