Job summary

BDO USA in Illinois is seeking an Assurance Senior, Technology Risk Assurance to assist in IT audit planning, risk assessment and control evaluation, focusing on IT general controls such as access, change management and IT operations, and testing business process controls and IPE.

The role includes mentoring IS Assurance Associates, building client relationships, and delivering high-quality results on engagements across various industries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science, or Information Systems, required
• Master’s degree in Information Systems or other relevant advanced degree, preferred
• More than two (2) years of IT audit and/or related risk and controls experience, required
• More than one (1) years of supervisory experience, required
• CPA, CISA, CISM, CRISC, CGEIT, CISSP and/or CFE certification, strongly preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and basic research skills
• Travel up to 30%

Responsibilities

• Plan IT audits, including understanding IT environment, risk and controls, and design procedures
• Test client IT general controls (ITGCs) such as access, change management and IT operations
• Test business process controls and key reports and information produced
• Provide training, mentoring and technical guidance to IS Assurance Associates
• Build and maintain relationships with client personnel and management
• Act as primary contact on assigned engagements
