Job summary

BDO USA in California seeks an Assurance Senior, Technology Risk Assurance to assist in planning IT audit engagements and execute IT risk assessments and control evaluations. You will design procedures to understand client IT environments, test IT general controls, and support financial audit procedures.

You will mentor associates, apply professional standards, and collaborate with client teams to communicate findings and strengthen controls. Travel up to 30% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science, or Information Systems, required.
• Master’s degree in Information Systems or related advanced degree, preferred.
• More than two years IT audit or related risk and controls experience, required.
• Proficiency with PCAOB and AICPA audit standards is expected.

Responsibilities

• Plans IT audits and assists in risk assessment and control evaluation.
• Designs procedures to understand client IT environments and tests ITGCs.
• Mentors and guides IS Assurance Associates throughout engagements.
• Communicates results and provides recommendations to clients.
