Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking an IT Procurement Lead to drive enterprise technology sourcing strategies and supplier partnerships.

You will own category plans, negotiate complex software/telecom agreements, and ensure alignment with IT strategy, risk controls, and long-term value. The role requires extensive experience in healthcare technology procurement, stakeholder collaboration across Legal, Finance, Security, and Privacy, and the ability to influence senior leaders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, technology, finance, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Eight or more years of progressive experience in IT procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management.
Experience sourcing, negotiating, or managing healthcare tech solutions in regulated environments.
Negotiation of complex software, SaaS, cloud tech agreements including pricing, data rights, renewals.
Strong understanding of category management, sourcing, contracting, and supplier management.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute multi-year category strategies and sourcing pipelines aligned to business priorities.
Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives: requirements, market assessment, events, evaluations, negotiations, contracting, implementation.
Negotiate software, SaaS, cloud, data, and tech-enabled services agreements with favorable terms.
Advise senior leaders translating business needs into sourcing strategies and commercial plans.
Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Security, Privacy, Risk, and other stakeholders to enable timely decisions.
