Job summary

Humana Inc. seeks an IT Procurement Lead to define category strategies and lead complex sourcing across healthcare technology, software, and data services in a remote role. The role requires 8+ years in IT procurement and a Bachelor's degree in a related field. Travel is limited; 40 hours/week; base pay ranges $115,200–$158,400 with potential bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in business, supply chain, technology, or finance.
• 8+ years of IT procurement, strategic sourcing, category mgmt, or similar.
• Experience sourcing/negotiating healthcare tech or complex tech in regulated industry.
• Experience negotiating software, SaaS, cloud, data, and tech-enabled services agreements.
• Strong understanding of category management, sourcing, contracting, and supplier management.
• Ability to incorporate business, regulatory, privacy, and security considerations.
• Ability to advise senior leaders and balance stakeholder priorities.
• Experience managing supplier performance and renewals across contracts.
• Strong financial acumen to evaluate pricing and total cost.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute multi-year category strategies and sourcing pipelines informed by priorities, spend, risk, and total cost of ownership.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives, including requirements, market assessment, events, supplier evaluation, negotiation, and implementation support.
• Negotiate complex software, SaaS, cloud, data, and technology-enabled services agreements with pricing, licensing, SLAs, and data rights.
• Advise senior leaders on sourcing strategies, market dynamics, supplier options, and commercial risk.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, and Enterprise Architecture to support timely decisions.
• Evaluate and manage strategic suppliers across the contract lifecycle for performance, renewals, and risk.
• Deliver value through cost optimization, demand management, and supplier-enabled innovation.
• Develop business cases, savings forecasts, and executive-ready recommendations.
