Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking an IT Procurement Lead to shape category strategies for enterprise technology across a regulated healthcare setting. You will lead supplier selection, pricing structures, and contract negotiations while aligning with IT priorities and risk controls.

You will partner with Legal, Finance, Privacy, Security, and Architecture teams to optimize total cost of ownership, while driving value through supplier consolidation and innovation across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, supply chain, technology, finance, or related discipline.
• Eight or more years of progressive experience in IT procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, supplier management, or a closely related field.
• Experience sourcing, negotiating, or managing healthcare technology solutions in a regulated industry.
• Experience negotiating complex software, SaaS, cloud, data, and technology-enabled services agreements.
• Strong understanding of category management, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management.
• Ability to translate business needs into sourcing strategies considering regulatory/privacy/security.
• Experience managing supplier performance and renewals across the contract lifecycle.
• Strong financial acumen with cost modeling and business-case development.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute multi-year category strategies and sourcing pipelines.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives from requirements to implementation.
• Negotiate complex software, SaaS, cloud, data and tech-enabled services agreements.
• Advise senior leaders on market dynamics, supplier options, and commercial risk.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Security, Privacy, and other stakeholders.
• Evaluate and manage strategic suppliers across contract lifecycle and risk.
• Deliver measurable value through cost optimization and supplier consolidation.
• Develop financial analyses, savings forecasts, and executive-ready recommendations.
• Promote adoption of preferred suppliers and contract standards.
