Job summary

Humana, Inc. is seeking an IT Procurement Lead to shape category strategies and lead sourcing for enterprise technology products and services across a healthcare technology portfolio.

You will partner with Legal, Finance, Security, Privacy, Risk, and other teams to negotiate complex software and technology-enabled services, balancing cost, value, and risk while driving savings and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years in IT procurement, strategic sourcing or category management.
• Experience sourcing and negotiating healthcare technology solutions.
• Ability to negotiate complex software, SaaS, cloud and data agreements.
• Strong understanding of category management and supplier evaluation.
• Ability to translate business needs into sourcing strategies for senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute multi-year category strategies and sourcing pipelines informed by business priorities, market intelligence, spend, supplier capabilities, risk, and total cost of ownership.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives, including requirements development, market assessment, competitive events, supplier evaluation, negotiation, contracting, and implementation support.
• Negotiate complex software, SaaS, cloud, data, and technology-enabled services agreements, including pricing, licensing, SLAs, data rights, and renewal protections.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, translating needs into sourcing strategies and advising on market dynamics and supplier options.
• Partner with Legal, Finance, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, Compliance, and other stakeholders to support timely decisions and improve supplier experience.
• Evaluate and manage strategic suppliers across the contract lifecycle for performance, risk, and value realization.
• Deliver measurable value through cost optimization, demand management, supplier consolidation, protections, process improvements, and innovation.
• Develop financial analyses, business cases, negotiation strategies, savings forecasts, and executive-ready recommendations.
