Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking an IT Procurement Lead (Senior Category Manager) to own category strategies and sourcing plans for enterprise technology across the organization.

You will negotiate complex software, SaaS, cloud, data, and tech-enabled services agreements, collaborating with Legal, Finance, Security, Privacy, and Compliance to drive cost optimization and value realization in a remote role aligned to EST/CST hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, technology, or related field.
• Eight+ years in IT procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management.
• Experience sourcing healthcare technology solutions or similarly regulated industries.
• Experience negotiating complex software, SaaS, cloud, data, and tech-enabled services agreements.
• Strong understanding of category management, supplier evaluation, and contract lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Develop multi-year category strategies and sourcing pipelines informed by business priorities and market intelligence.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives including requirements, market assessment, events, evaluation, negotiation, contracting and implementation.
• Negotiate complex software, SaaS, cloud, data, and technology-enabled services agreements with favorable terms.
• Advise senior leaders on sourcing strategies, market dynamics, and supplier options.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, Compliance, and Enterprise Architecture.
• Manage strategic suppliers across the contract lifecycle including renewals and risk.
• Deliver value through cost optimization, supplier consolidation, and process improvements.
• Develop business cases, savings forecasts, and executive-ready recommendations.
• Promote adoption of preferred suppliers and standardized contracting practices.
