Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Senior IT Network Engineer to design, implement and support the hospital's enterprise network on campus and across services.

You will mentor junior staff and drive complex network projects. Expertise in TCP/IP, OSPF/BGP, Juniper and Cisco devices, wireless networks and network monitoring is required, along with strong collaboration, planning and communication across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Network Administration, CS, IT or related field.
• Deep knowledge of network hardware and infrastructure.
• 3–5 years with Juniper/Cisco in a complex enterprise network.
• Strong communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages complex network projects and roadmaps.
• Mentors junior staff and develops their network skills.
• Maintains network infrastructure standards and security.
• Implements and maintains vendor technologies (Juniper/Cisco).
• Monitors performance and capacity of enterprise networks.
• On-call support as scheduled.
