Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking an IT Network (VoIP) Engineer Lead to design, implement, and support enterprise voice infrastructure across the campus and Internet.

You will lead a team, supervise projects, and ensure high availability of Call Center applications and voice services. The role requires master-level knowledge of voice technologies, certifications, and strong scripting expertise to support server and client management tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems/Computer Science or a directly related field or equivalent work experience.
• Certification in Avaya, Cisco, Microsoft, and other networking technology highly desired.
• Master level skills in relevant voice technologies.
• Programming or scripting skills to assist in server and client management tasks.
• Analytical thinking for problem determination and correction within the department.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary team in delivering voice technology services, including Call Center applications.
• Develop and manage complex projects related to voice and application technologies.
• Provide project and work task supervision with performance feedback for reviews.
• Mentor junior staff and IM team members.
• Install and manage assigned voice technologies and application software.
• Develop and document procedures covering enterprise-wide network infrastructure.
• Monitor and report on performance for enterprise voice infrastructure.
