Job summary

BBQ Holdings, Inc. seeks a Technical Support Specialist to join the MTY IT Department. You will administer and support end-user hardware, software, and peripherals in a timely, professional manner and per service levels.

You may also support other IT teams as needed. In the Help Desk, you will handle requests through the ticketing system, maintain printers, and assist with security devices and critical office systems (Microsoft 365, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VPN).

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a technical capacity supporting users or projects
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems
• Extensive experience with laptops, desktops, and mobile devices from various vendors
• Familiarity with disk-imaging technologies for rollouts and refreshes
• Basic understanding of Active Directory and Microsoft DNS/DHCP services
• Experience with helpdesk ticketing systems (SolarWinds WHD, ServiceNow, Cherwell)
• Ability to document implementations, testing and self-help guides
• Experience with Microsoft Office troubleshooting
• Experience with patch management tools (WSUS, BigFix, etc.)
• Experience with Microsoft Intune
• Knowledge of asset tracking and device tagging
• Experience managing and deploying Apple devices
• Experience with antivirus server/client management

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day technology needs of MTY Group employees as part of the Help Desk
• Use the ticketing system to process requests, changes, and incidents
• Maintain printers and ensure supplies are stocked
• Support facilities and security devices (badge readers, cameras)
• Keep hardware and software up to date with security patches
• Assist in managing office systems and services (M365, AD, DNS, DHCP, VPN, antivirus)
• Collaborate with MTY Help Desk teams across locations
• Document procedures and create self-help guides
• Manage assigned IT projects and report on progress
• Pursue personal development and skill improvement
• Perform other duties as assigned
