Job summary

Ascend Technologies is seeking a Sr. Field Engineer to handle on-site client support across multiple locations. The role covers advanced desktop support, server and network environments including Cloud, AD, and VoIP systems.

The ideal candidate will travel to client sites, communicate effectively across all levels, and manage tasks with strong documentation and time management skills.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels, from executives to staff.
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-through to complete tasks and meet deliverables.
• Proficient in documenting processes and technical information.
• Strong time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficient with Microsoft Desktop OS including Windows 7–11.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Server OS from 2008–2021.
• Strong oral and written communication capabilities.
• Adaptability to frequently switch between tasks as needed.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft technologies: Azure, AD, GPOs, Office 365, Exchange, Hyper-V, VMware.
• Solid network troubleshooting: TCP/IP, LAN/WAN; DNS/DHCP issues.
• Familiar with firewalls, routers, switches, wireless controllers and WAPs.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site advanced desktop and end-user support.
• Assist with server and network environments including Cloud, AD, and storage.
• Travel to client sites to deliver technical expertise and resolve issues.
• Document processes and configurations for client environments.
