Job summary

Altruist is building the modern internal infrastructure for a fast-growing fintech platform. This senior generalist role owns identity, endpoints, corporate apps and networking, guiding projects from design through rollout and mentoring juniors.

You will apply an AI-native approach to coding, automation, and problem-solving; implement SASE/zero-trust controls; and drive security and reliability while expanding self-service capabilities and tooling.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years in IT engineering or corporate infrastructure with end-to-end ownership.
• Endpoint engineering across macOS and Windows, including MDM and fleet management.
• Identity platform experience with Okta and/or Google Workspace; SSO/SCIM familiarity.
• Corporate networking and secure access—Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP, VLANs; SASE/conditional access.
• AI-native approach, scripting ability (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and API comfort.
• Strong service mindset and ability to handle escalations with clarity and care.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, implementation, and operation of core internal systems—identity, endpoints, apps, networking.
• Lead technical projects end to end—scoping, design, pilot, rollout, handoff.
• Implement and maintain SASE and zero-trust controls across the environment.
• Build automation and integrations, including AI-assisted workflows and expanded self-service.
• Evaluate and implement new tools and platforms, migrating off outdated systems.
• Serve as senior escalation point for complex or high-impact issues.
• Strengthen security and reliability—access controls, patching, monitoring, audits.
• Define technical standards, documentation, and runbooks for repeatable work.
