You’ll design systems and data models, own API contracts, and lead testing, security, and observability from day one, while guiding AI-assisted implementation.

This role emphasizes architecture over code and requires production judgment to ensure safe, scalable releases.

Qualifications

• Experience building scalable, production-grade systems.
• Strong design and judgment for AI-assisted development.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and containerization.
• Experience with APIs, data models, and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design system architecture, data models, and API contracts.
• Decompose work, write specs, and let AI prototypes build parts.
• Own testing strategy; define coverage and validate tests.
• Build security, reliability, and observability from the start.
• Maintain production judgment; own deployment and incident response.
• Coach engineers to use AI effectively and responsibly.
