Job summary

Altruist is hiring an AI-native Senior Software Engineer to design and build scalable data pipelines and data serving platforms for wealth professionals. You will create foundational AI-enabled frameworks and help embed AI throughout the software development lifecycle.

You will work with data from multiple sources, ensure data quality, optimize performance, and collaborate with teams to deliver exceptional client service to financial advisors nationwide.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python or Java.
• Experience with databases, data warehouses and ETL pipelines at scale.
• Experience with batch processing frameworks like Spark.
• Cloud infrastructure knowledge, especially AWS and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and build high performance data pipelines for financial data.
• Create foundational frameworks and platforms to enable AI as a core capability.
• Advocate for and demonstrate AI throughout the SDLC.
• Ensure data integrity and quality across multiple sources.
• Optimize query performance and troubleshoot data issues.
