Job summary

Raise is hiring a Senior IT Desktop Technician for an onsite role in Tulsa, OK. The position is a 6-month contract with possible extension or conversion based on performance.

Responsibilities include configuring, installing, and repairing PC hardware, performing data migrations when required, and guiding teammates. A+ certification and 4 years in a PC-related field are preferred, with strong OS and MS Office support and basic networking skills.

Qualifications

• A+ Networking certs useful but not required.
• Strong desktop OS and MS Office support.
• Experience with networking support and light server admin.
• Ability to manage inventory and hardware/software requisitions.
• Proven desktop support in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Configure, install and repair PC hardware and peripherals.
• Define data migration requirements and perform migration as needed.
• Provide training and guidance to team members.
• Coordinate with desktop architecture on images and procedures.
• Enforce security measures, safety standards and licensing procedures.
• Coordinate special requests for technicians.
• Monitor trouble tickets and coordinate vendor repairs.
• Perform own work and assist others as directed.
• Ensure tasks have minimal impact on organizational viability.
• Detect and correct errors as flagged by supervision.

Senior IT Desktop Technician

Pay Rate: Up to $28.00/hour on W2, depending on experience

Work Type: Onsite – Tulsa, OK 74104

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 am - 5:00 pm | Possible Overtime

Duration: 6-month contract with possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.

Responsibilities

• Performs configuration, installation and/or repairs of PC hardware and peripherals according to established procedures.
• Consults with the end user to define data migration requirements and perform the data migration, if required.
• Provide training and general guidance to other members of the team.
• Coordinate with the desktop architecture team when bringing in new desktop images or when adjusting procedures.
• Adheres to and enforces facility security measures, company safety standards and software licensing procedures.
• Coordinate special requests for distribution to technician I and technician II staff.
• Monitors for trouble tickets and coordinates with appropriate vendors for equipment repair as needed.
• Performs own work and provides assistance to others as directed.
• Job tasks, correctly performed, have minimal impact upon the viability of the organization.
• Error is readily ascertainable by the supervisor and can be corrected.

Qualifications

• Skills are typically acquired through an A+ certification or equivalent.
• 4 years of experience in a PC related field which includes experience in software and hardware configuration.
• A+ / A+ Networking certifications are useful but not required.
• Strong expertise in desktop operating systems and MS Office productivity support.
• Experience with networking support and light server administration.
• Capable of managing inventory and handling hardware/software requisitions.
• Proven history of providing desktop support in a fast-paced environment.
