Take2 is hiring a Computer Technician who is eligible to be sponsored for a clearance. This position is onsite and will require you to work out of Tulsa, OK. This position is going to be supporting a short-term laptop and desktop deployment project that is expected to go for around 9 weeks.
Overview
We are seeking experienced Computer Technicians to support a large-scale desktop and laptop deployment project at a major aerospace manufacturing facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This is a hands-on IT deployment role focused on imaging, configuration, installation, migration, and replacement of end-user computing devices across a campus environment.
The ideal candidate has experience with computer refresh projects, desktop support, hardware deployment, system imaging, and customer-facing technical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Image, configure, and deploy Dell desktops and laptops.
- Perform device installations, replacements, and workstation setups.
- Disconnect and remove legacy computer equipment.
- Transport IT equipment between buildings across the campus.
- Configure systems and verify network connectivity.
- Complete basic Windows domain join and workstation configuration tasks.
- Install software applications and assist with data and settings migration.
- Validate system functionality after deployment.
- Track deployment activities and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Move retired equipment to designated staging or storage locations.
- Maintain clean and organized deployment work areas.
- Provide professional customer service and end-user support throughout the deployment process.
- Follow established processes, deployment schedules, and technical documentation.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience deploying, installing, or supporting computer hardware.
- Experience with system imaging, workstation deployment, and device refresh projects.
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop support practices.
- Experience installing software and configuring end-user devices.
- Ability to troubleshoot desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral issues.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience following technical instructions, procedures, and deployment documentation.
- Preferred Qualifications
- CompTIA A+ Certification or equivalent technical experience.
- Certifications such as Network+, MCP, MCSA, MCSE, or similar.
- Experience with hardware break/fix support.
- Experience with enterprise IT deployments and migration projects.
- Familiarity with Active Directory and basic system administration activities.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, unpack, and install IT equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to push carts loaded with computer equipment.
- Ability to walk extensively throughout a large campus environment.
- Frequent bending, crouching, reaching, and working underneath desks.
- Ability to transport equipment between buildings using customer-provided carts or vehicles.
Additional Requirements
- Must be eligible for a Federal Clearance
- Candidates must possess a valid driver's license.
- Candidates must provide either: An original U.S. birth certificate, or a valid U.S. passport prior to project start and present documentation onsite on the first day.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Initial deployment of over 240 end-user devices.
- Additional device deployments are anticipated, creating a strong possibility for project extension.
- Primarily Dell desktop and laptop hardware.
- Full-time schedule with approximately 40 hours per week during project duration.
