Job summary

University Hospitals Pain Management seeks an IT Applications Specialist to act as a liaison between IT and clinical business service lines, providing configuration support to improve department workflows and operational efficiency.

The role leads the design of business workflows, coordinates testing, reporting, and security for assigned applications, and mentors Application Analysts. It also handles disaster recovery and acts as primary on-call contact.

Qualifications

• Experience configuring and testing enterprise applications.
• Ability to translate business workflow needs into technical requirements.
• Strong collaboration with business units and IT teams.

Responsibilities

• Supports major enterprise applications and others as assigned.
• Leads design of business workflow in conjunction with the business units.
• Leads needs assessment, software design, implementation, support, and reporting.
• Maintains high degree of understanding of departments’ business processes.
• Owns specific functionality and processes; responsible for configuration, testing, and communication.
• Troubleshoots application issues and system hardware as needed.
• Oversees system security for assigned applications.
• Acts as the team project lead on all project phases from scoping to transition.
• Mentors Application Analysts and produces and maintains reports.
• Guides documentation standards and change management activities.
• Creates reports, dashboards, and analytical tools to support customers.
