Job summary

University Hospitals seeks a Senior IT Business Analyst for the Systems Operations Center. The role acts as a liaison between IT and business service lines, driving configuration support to enhance operations and workflows.

You will lead design, testing, reporting, and problem resolution across enterprise applications, mentoring junior analysts and ensuring secure, integrated systems. You will guide business workflow improvements, participate in change control, and collaborate with PMO on

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently in fast-paced settings.
• Experience with SQL-based applications and IT infrastructure basics.
• Understanding of HL7 interfaces and ITIL concepts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports major enterprise applications and others as assigned.
• Leads design of business workflow with business units and guides analysts.
• Leads needs assessment, software design, implementation, and reporting.
• Tests software to ensure design objectives are met and creates test scripts.
• Maintains understanding of department business processes and workflows.
• Manages configuration, testing, and communication for assigned functionality.
• Troubleshoots application issues and system hardware as needed.
• Oversees system security for assigned applications and DR/Backup requirements.
• Acts as team project lead with PMO through design, implementation and transition.
• Mentors Application Analysts and produces/custom reports using Crystal Reports.
• Develops flowcharts/diagrams to aid design decisions and problem analysis.
• Collaborates with other analysts to ensure system integrations.
