Job summary

Dallas County IT is seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst to provide strategic business analysis across departments. You will work with business partners to understand strategy, processes, services and roadmaps, and identify operational, financial and technical risks.

Responsibilities include leading a team of analysts and coordinating with developers, validating requirements, creating use cases and test plans, and ensuring alignment between user needs, funding, technical capabilities and system

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Five years of job related experience in business analysis or related areas.
• Certifications in Business Analysis, ITIL, or Project Management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interfaces with IT staff and business partners to design programs, processes, and software; assist with analysis, testing, and training.
• Researches and prepares statistical reports for management decision-making.
• Ensures alignment between user requirements, funding, technical requirements, and system capabilities.
• Leads analysts, programmers, and end-users in defining system requirements for complex projects.
• Performs requirement validation, verification, and prioritization based on business value.
• Produces project analysis documentation: BRD, scope matrix, use cases, test plans.
• Conducts change impact analysis and documents business rules.
