Job summary

Sandy Mac Evolution is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) III for a San Antonio, TX based role. The ISSO ensures the operational security posture of information systems, collaborating closely with the ISSM and ISO to manage authorization documentation, configuration management, and incident handling.

Responsibilities include day‑to‑day security operations, continuous monitoring, and supporting DoD agencies with A&A efforts.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years related experience, especially in developing RMF packages or bodies of evidence.
• Prior performance in roles such as System/Network Administrator or ISSO.
• DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level II training (in lieu of IAT Level II).

Responsibilities

• Assist the ISSM in meeting duties and responsibilities.
• Prepare, review, and update authorization packages.
• Coordinate changes with ISSM and AO/DAO prior to implementation.
• Monitor security of information systems and maintain authorizationDocumentation.
