Job summary

Watermark Risk Management International, LLC in San Antonio, TX seeks an Information Systems Security Officer II to maintain secure operations for DoD information systems, in coordination with the ISSM and ISO. The ISSO will lead day-to-day security duties and ensure compliance across SAP, SCI, and collateral environments.

Candidates bring 2–5 years of related experience, DoD IA credentials, and Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related area or Associate’s degree + 2 years’ experience or equivalent (4 years).
• Must meet position and certification requirements in DoD Directive 8570.01-M within 6 months.
• Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility and willingness for polygraph.
• Expert knowledge of DoD, National and service policy, manuals and standards.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment with DoD personnel and partners.

Responsibilities

• Assist the ISSM in meeting duties and responsibilities.
• Prepare, review, and update authorization packages.
• Ensure procedures for clearing, sanitizing, and destroying hardware/media.
• Notify ISSM when changes may affect authorization determinations.
• Conduct periodic reviews to ensure security authorization package compliance.
• Coordinate changes to hardware, software, or firmware with ISSM/AO/DAO.
• Monitor system recovery to ensure security features function properly.
• Ensure all security documentation is current and accessible.
• Ensure audit records are collected, reviewed, and documented.
• Attend required technical and security training relevant to duties.
• Execute the cyber security portion of the self-inspection and reviews.
• Identify cyber vulnerabilities and assist with countermeasures.
• Prepare reports on the status of security safeguards.
• Perform ISSO duties for in-house and external customers.
• Conduct continuous monitoring for authorization boundaries.
• Assist DoD and contractor organizations with A&A efforts.
• Additional duties as assigned.
