Job summary

General Dynamics - IT seeks an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) III to maintain the security posture of information systems and work closely with the ISSM and ISO. The role covers physical and environmental protection, incident handling, and security training, across SAPs and DoD agencies including SCI and SAP activities.

The position requires 5+ years of RMF experience, 2+ years SAP experience, and TS/SCI clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• 5+ years related experience, especially in RMF packages or bodies of evidence.
• 2+ years SAP experience
• Prior performance in roles such as System, Network Administrator or ISSO.

Responsibilities

• Assist the ISSM in meeting duties and responsibilities.
• Prepare, review, and update authorization packages.
• Ensure procedures for clearing, sanitizing, and destroying hardware/media are in place.
• Notify ISSM when changes affect authorization determinations.
• Conduct periodic reviews for security compliance of information systems.
• Coordinate changes to hardware/software/firmware with ISSM/AO/DAO before changes.
• Monitor recovery processes to ensure security features are restored.
• Ensure IS security documentation is current and accessible.
• Ensure audit records are collected, reviewed, and documented.
• Attend required security training related to duties.
• Execute cyber security portion of self-inspection and review system assessment plans.
• Identify cyber security vulnerabilities and assist with countermeasures.
• Prepare reports on security safeguards status.

Education

Bachelor’s degree OR Associate’s degree + 2 years’ experience OR equivalent experience (4 years)
