Job summary

Sandy Mac Evolution seeks an Information System Security Officer III at Hanscom AFB, MA to maintain the information system's security posture in collaboration with the ISSM and ISO. The role focuses on day-to-day security operations, RMF documentation, and authorization package management.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years related experience, especially in developing RMF packages or bodies of evidence
• Prior performance in roles such as System/Network Administrator or ISSO
• 2+ years SAP experience
• DoD 8570.01-M IAM II training (in lieu of IAT II) within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Assist the ISSM in meeting their duties and responsibilities
• Prepare, review, and update authorization packages
• Ensure approved procedures are in place for clearing, sanitizing, and destroying hardware and media
• Notify ISSM when changes affect authorization determinations
• Conduct periodic reviews of information systems for security authorization
• Coordinate changes to hardware/software with ISSM and AO/DAO prior to changes
• Monitor recovery processes to ensure security features are restored
• Ensure all security documentation is current and accessible
• Ensure audit records are collected, reviewed, and documented
• Attend required technical and security trainings
• Execute cyber security portion of self-inspection and coordination of assessments
• Identify cyber security vulnerabilities and assist with countermeasures
• Prepare reports on status of safeguards
• Perform ISSO duties for in-house and external customers
• Conduct continuous monitoring for authorization boundaries
• Assist DoD/agency/contractors with A&A efforts
