Job summary

Watermark Risk Management International LLC is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer II in San Antonio, TX. The ISSO will work with the ISSM and ISO to maintain an optimal security posture for DoD-focused systems, including SAP/SCIF environments.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years related experience.
• Prior performance in roles such as System, Network Administrator or ISSO.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related area OR Associate’s degree in a related area + 2 years’ experience OR equivalent experience (4 years).
• Must meet DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Technician Level II or Information Assurance Manager II within 6 months of hire.
• Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility; SAP access eligibility.
• Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph.
• Must have expert knowledge of DoD, National and applicable service and agency security policy, manuals and standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist the ISSM in meeting duties and responsibilities.
• Prepare, review, and update authorization packages.
• Ensure procedures for clearing, sanitizing, and destroying hardware/media are in place.
• Notify ISSM of changes affecting authorization determinations.
• Conduct periodic reviews of information systems for compliance with security packages.
• Coordinate hardware/software/firmware changes with ISSM and AO/DAO before changes.
• Monitor system recovery processes to ensure security features are restored.
• Ensure all IS security documentation is current and accessible.
• Ensure audit records are collected, reviewed, and documented.
• Attend required security training related to duties.
