Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to oversee the security posture of an information system, coordinating with the ISSM and ISO to manage daily security operations, including physical and environmental protection, incident handling, and training.

The role supports DoD agencies in SAP environments, prepares authorization packages, reviews audits, and coordinates changes with the ISSM and AO/DAO.

Qualifications

• 2+ years related information security experience.
• SAP experience required.
• DoD or SAP environments preferred; TS/SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop physical or logical topologies for a system.
• Assist the ISSM in meeting duties and responsibilities.
• Prepare, review, and update authorization packages.
• Ensure procedures for clearing, sanitizing, and destroying hardware/media are in place.
• Conduct periodic reviews of information systems for compliance with the authorization package.
• Coordinate changes to hardware/software/firmware with the ISSM and AO/DAO before implementation.
• Monitor system recovery to ensure security features are restored and functioning.
• Ensure security documentation is current and accessible to authorized personnel.
• Collect and review audit records and document anomalies.
• Attend technical and security training related to duties.
• Execute cyber security portions of self-inspection and review system assessment plans.
